2011 – a year of tweets

As is my wont, I’ve decided to pick over my tweets of 2011, and present edited highlights right here, right now.

So without further ado, I give you 2011 (with typos corrected!):

• Thrown some mulled wine into this evening’s curry… Will report on outcome of experiment. (Wed Jan 05)
• Mulled wine curry essentially a success. (Thu Jan 06)
• Great service this morning by da Yoof. Not too sure that “God is sick” though! 🙂 (Sun Jan 09)
• Just sent an email titled ‘C# conventions.’ May have inadvertantly got my colleagues hopes up for a trip to Redmond. (Mon Jan 10)
• Fairly major crash on the Wetherby road going out of Harrogate. Police have closed the roads, and a couple of fire engines on the scene. (Wed Jan 12)
• @NickHancock I have a nasty feeling my 1st 7″ was D.I.S.C.O. by Ottowan. That or the special glow-in-the-dark Phantom of the Opera single. (Thu Jan 13)
• Perhaps church should be pay-as-you-go instead of pay monthly? £5 admission. 50p for toilets. £1 to receive communion? (Sun Jan 16)
• Time for today’s left-over “Wishes” choccy star. Had hoped to last to 11, but just recharged my coffee and it’s just too tempting. (Fri Jan 21)
• On the 36 to ripon for our growing leaders day. Also spotted harrogate station’s swanky new cafe. Last I saw it was a greasy spoon! (Sat Jan 22)
• @GirlHarrogate Tickled by the idea of an AA man fitting batteries.. Do you get a boy if it’s AAA you need? (Thu Jan 27)
• Right, time for bed. 2nd blog post will have to wait, as will thank you letters. Facebook: the source of all procrastination strikes again. (Thu Jan 27)
• Dyson Doctor has given a poor prognosis. It might be terminal. More positively, just blogged my 2011 ‘resolutions’ (Sat Jan 29)
• Oh Joy. Our boiler has conked! No central heating or hot water for us. Error code has fan speed is too slow – hopefully engineer can sort it (Sat Jan 29)
• @alexbcann I started drinking my coffee black when I was 16, and I thought Special Agent Dale Cooper was the coolest. 🙂 (Mon Jan 31)
• Why would I want to automatically link Twitter and Spotify? I’d be so embarrassed if all my followers knew I was listening to Steps. (Thu Feb 03)
• About to watch no. 1 son in a show at the royal hall. Excited. 🙂 (Sat Feb 05)
• Had so much fun at the show yesterday at the Royal Hall. Admittedly I was “only” ferrying little ones to/from the stage, but still. (Mon Feb 07)

• We appeared to have successfully quarantined our 7 yr old, so the vomiting didn’t spread to anyone else (and – best – not the 5 month old). (Mon Feb 14)
• So I suggested a romantic evening with the missus, snuggled up in front of the fire, perhaps playing a board game. And here I am on Twitter. (Tue Feb 15)
• Growing Leaders session 2 this evening. I’m still challenged by where my motivation and identity comes from – so easy to base it on activity (Thu Feb 17)
• Last night was brought to you by the letter ‘S’ – for Snow and for Sick. However, not for Sleep. Still, 4 Due South’s watched. (Sat Feb 19)
• Compulsary mediation for splitting partners sounds like an excellent idea. It’s in nobody’s interests to drag kids through the courts. (Wed Feb 23)
• Late for church. Blame it on the baby. 95% because of him so not too unreasonable. (Tue Aug 20)
• Celebrating 11 years of marriage this weekend. Fun to look back at wedding and honeymoon pics. (Sun Feb 27)
• Momentous day as No. 2 son starts on solids! (Wed Mar 02)
• In my household, “bookworm” is a compliment. 🙂 (Tue Mar 15)
• Enjoyed Only Connect Comic Relief special. The “tongue twister” missing vowels round was genius. (Tue Mar 15)
• Happy days. Number 2 son slept for 12 (count ’em – 12) hours last night. I suspect not seen the last of the wee hours, but still a milestone (Sat Mar 19)
• My birthday evening consisted of cake and presents, followed by playing Rummy in front of the fire with a glass of Baileys. Perfection. (Sat Mar 19)
• Final fling of birthday celebration is lunch and a walk at Fountains. (Sun Mar 20)
• Lovely lunch. Roast venison (oh deer) and now going to stroll the abbey. Holding out for a world famous ripley ice-cream on the way home. (Sun Mar 20)
• I just wrote my own obituary! That is to say I wrote what I would want to be remembered for in 50 years time. Wasn’t as morbid as it sounds. (Wed Mar 23)

• No. 2 son is cutting his first tooth. Won’t be a baby much longer!! (Thu Apr 30)

• Just watched Enchanted. Hugely enjoyed. Haven’t laughed out loud at a film for ages (thinking the Central Park sequence – brilliant) (Wed Apr 20)
